Civil Appeals

Norman’s practice focuses primarily on representing personal injury plaintiffs on appeal to Virginia and federal appellate tribunals, whether as appellants or appellees.  He will accept appellate cases across the complete range of tort law, such as personal injury, auto and motorcycle crashes, defamation, wrongful death, property damage, products liability, medical malpractice, spoliation, discovery and sanctions disputes, slayer statute, and insurance coverage appeals.  He also represents injured workers in appeals from the Workers’ Compensation Commission to the Court of Appeals of Virginia.  He is an active member of the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association, and his participation includes having served on VTLA’s Board of Governors and as Chair of its Appellate Section.
